This Privacy Policy explains what information Chinese Zodiac Calculator(“we”, “us”) collects when you visit chinesezodiaccalc.net and how that information is used. We have designed the site so that the amount of personal data we need is as close to zero as a working website allows.

The zodiac calculator, element calculator, and compatibility calculator all run entirely in your browser. When you enter a birth date:

• The date is converted to the lunisolar calendar on your own device — the calculation runs in your browser, not on a server.
• The date is not sent to our servers, not logged, and not stored in any database we control.
• When you close or reload the page, the entered date is gone unless your browser itself kept it in form history, which only you can access.

In short: we cannot see your birthday, because the calculation never reaches us.

We do not collect or process any of the following:

• Birth dates, names, or other personal details
• Account registrations — the site has no login
• Advertising identifiers, cross-site tracking cookies, or profiling data
• Sensitive categories of information of any kind

There is simply no field anywhere on the site that asks for personal information, apart from an email address that you choose to send us voluntarily.

If you email us at support@chinesezodiaccalc.net, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in the message — sometimes a birth date when you ask us to double-check a result. We use that information only to answer your question.

• We do not add you to any mailing list and we do not send marketing email.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your email address with third parties.
• Correspondence is kept only as long as needed to resolve your question, after which it is deleted.
• Please do not send us more personal information than the question requires — the calculator on the home page answers most result questions instantly.

Like virtually all websites, our hosting provider processes standard technical data in order to deliver pages to you, which may include your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, and the time of the request. This data:

• Exists to deliver pages and to diagnose abuse or outages
• Is controlled by the hosting provider under its own privacy terms and retained only for a limited period
• Is never combined with anything you enter into the calculators — which, as explained above, never reach us in the first place

The site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Any browser data the site may keep is limited to making the site work as you expect (for example, remembering your preferences) and never identifies you personally. You can clear site data at any time in your browser settings without losing anything of value.

The site is a general-audience cultural and entertainment tool. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and — because calculator inputs never leave the browser — we never receive it in the first place. If you are a parent or guardian with a concern, email us and we will respond promptly.

Because birth dates and results are processed locally on your device and are never transmitted to us, the most sensitive data the site touches is protected by the fact that we never possess it. If we add features that change how data is handled (for example, an account system or optional saved results), we will update this page and change the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be described at the top of the page so you can see what changed at a glance.
